Project Manager - 2nd Shift
Branex Group is a Minority-owned Technical Staffing firm headquartered in Auburn Hills, MI. They are seeking a Project Manager to lead and manage projects related to the implementation of robotic systems and manufacturing processes, ensuring project objectives are met within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities
Lead and manage projects related to the implementation of robotic systems and manufacturing processes
Manage project execution with Project Management to adhere to the project budget and schedule
Estimate labor, build, and engineering needs for projects
Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
Schedule and conduct manufacturing review meetings to maintain the project’s schedule
Provide feedback to the Manufacturing Manager/Supervisors regarding technician productivity, capabilities, and anticipated problems. Provide weekly/daily project updates to project team and management
Maintain project leadership by open communication, listening, and earning the confidence and respect of other team members
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design/engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure project objectives are met
Coordinate validation testing of a system project to design requirements
Review deliverables prior to shipment for on-time, complete and accurate delivery to customer
Manage customers supplied items to quality process and customer requirements
Maintain a professional level of project/engineering document control per quality procedures
Ability to travel to local facilities

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve product quality
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any process-related issues
Propose and justify tooling and equipment to improve quality and cost down manufacturing processes
Develop an understanding of manufacturing and engineering applications while staying in touch with recent technology that can be used to improve quality, lower cost, and provide targeted results
Provide technical support and guidance to the manufacturing team, ensuring the smooth execution of robotic systems and manufacturing processes
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the system build
Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and progress reports
Create and provide control plans, build plans, quality control documents, safety requirements, protective personal equipment, and packaging/shipment plan per quality process
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source components and materials for robotic systems
Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery performance
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in engineering discipline in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering with relevant work experience
A minimum of a year of experience in industrial design and/or project management experience with robotics and industrial automation
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully work in teams, take personal initiative, and effectively manage themselves in a somewhat unstructured environment
Provide continuous improvement initiatives by recognizing and correcting internal and external processes when necessary
Reliable, consistent attendance is required
Be resourceful and exhibit a well thought out approach to resolving the unexpected issues that may occur
Understand standard manufacturing assembly/fabrication practices
Understanding of automation
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to travel to local facilities
Considerable walking / standing
Some lifting of material
Willing to work overtime when required to meet special deadlines in response to customer requirements
Exposure to various industrial processes relative to customer solutions which may include hazardous material and unique safety precautions
Minimal travel required, may need to visit suppliers, support outsourcing, or attend trade shows
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering with relevant work experience
3 years of experience in industrial design and/or project management experience with robotics and industrial automation
Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) preferred
Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other engineering tools
