Responsibilities
Installing fiber, coax and low voltage cabling within building riser systems to include cable placement, termination, testing and labeling per code and EIA/TIA industry standards
Installing structured cabling within tenant suite spaces
Cleaning up and removing abandoned cabling and equipment from within building riser systems
Walking jobs and meeting with customers
Closing out projects with the regional manager/corporate accounting
Conducting quality control checks for our installations
Qualification
Required
Experience as a technician who can work independently with little to no supervision
Ability to install fiber, coax and low voltage cabling within building riser systems including cable placement, termination, testing and labeling per code and EIA/TIA industry standards
Experience installing structured cabling within tenant suite spaces
Ability to clean up and remove abandoned cabling and equipment from within building riser systems
Experience walking jobs and meeting with customers
Ability to close out projects with the regional manager/corporate accounting
Conducting quality control checks for installations
Familiarity with high-rise building phone room infrastructure, MPOE's, service provider technologies, circuit extensions and proper installation methods for fiber and copper cabling
Familiarity with local code requirements as they pertain to low voltage cabling installations (i.e. suspension methods, labeling, fire stopping, etc…)
Professional, reliable, accountable and able to meet with customers and clients in person
Ability to think independently and resolve arising issues quickly for minimum to no impact to clients
Possession of a reliable vehicle with the ability to carry a 6' ladder and a traditional set of tools needed to do the job
Familiarity with the use of a computer and programs such as: Excel, Word and Outlook
