Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist

Northrop Grumman is a leader in technological advancements and is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Planning Specialist to support their Armament Systems Business Unit in Mesa, Arizona. The role involves developing material strategies, assessing supply resources, and planning inventory and production requirements for various products.

Responsibilities

Supports the definition and development of the material strategy for a program portfolio
Supports the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; planning inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products
Participates in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management
Analyzes and aggregates supply/demand requirements
Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools
Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements
Assesses rough-cut capacity for current and short-term manufacturing requirements
Creates/reduces supply requirements based on inventory adjustments
Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs
Interfaces with Source process area regarding inventory levels, working capital and other areas as needed
Approves requisitions
Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard parts
Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements
Participates in proposal and material pricing activities associated with responding to customer RFPs
Responsible for material program budgets and analyzing program material cost inputs through the EAC financial reporting process

Required

Must have 9 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Materials management or relevant experience
Will consider Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience, or master's degree plus 3 years of experience

Preferred

Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP tools
Proficiency in MS Excel
