Sr Project Engineer (Construction Management/Utility Design) - Civil

Responsibilities
Assist in master planning and conceptual design
Assist in fee determination and proposal preparation
Assist with monitoring design budgets and project schedules
Serve as point-of-contact with Clients, Contractors and other design disciplines
Manage multiple engineering projects from start of design through completion of construction
Manage and mentor a team of civil engineers and CAD technicians
Utilizes AutoCAD/Civil3D to design, detail, and coordinate medium to large size projects within time allotments and within project budgets
Attend project meetings during design and construction
Provide quality-control check of work produced
Provide project construction administration support including shop drawing review, responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), and field observations
Monitor project budgets and reviews and/or approves invoicing to clients
Participate in collection and account receivable efforts
Works overtime, when necessary
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering/architecture curriculum
Registered Professional Engineer
BS plus a minimum of 4 years of progressive engineering experience (MSCE/MSAE counts as 1 year)
8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
Demonstrates leadership abilities beneficial to the company's future
Consistently meets established financial metrics
Preferred
Min 7 years' experience in Construction Management/Utility Design
Min 4 years' experience with PE license
Managed numerous projects from start of design through construction
Knowledge or proficiency with Civil3D, StormCAD, FlowMaster, WaterCAD, AutoTurn
Knowledge of site entitlement processes of jurisdictions within the greater Denver Metropolitan area
Construction field experience
Shows interest in participating in company initiatives/goals
Excellent time management and organizational and management skills with technical staff on multiple, simultaneous projects
Successfully managed multiple projects and followed them from project development, through all design phases, to construction completion and closeout
Demonstrates strong field observation and written documentation skills
CDOT direct or Local Agency experience
CDOT Construction Inspection, Erosion Control, and/or Traffic Control certifications
Hold and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license
