This role involves taking projects from zoning feasibility and concept design through permitting and construction documentation, combining design sensibility with technical expertise.
Construction
Responsibilities
Lead architectural development from initial feasibility through permit
Create schematic floor plans, building massing, and elevations from scratch
Develop high-end, modern residential designs
Lead zoning and code research prior to design
Interpret local development codes and planning requirements
Produce complete construction document sets
Work directly in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp
Ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and construction-ready
Incorporate structural systems, venting, and building assemblies into design
Coordinate with civil, structural, and other consultants
Lead consultant communication through permitting
Manage and oversee permit submittals
Respond to plan review comments and coordinate revisions
Qualification
Required
10+ years of professional residential architectural design experience
Strong proficiency in Revit
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
Strong proficiency in SketchUp (for massing and elevation studies)
Deep understanding of residential construction methods
Deep understanding of structural coordination
Deep understanding of constructability and detailing
Strong communication and coordination skills
Robust portfolio required
