Responsibilities
Lead direct engagement with electric utilities to understand system constraints, planning processes, and interconnection pathways
Develop and execute market-specific energy strategies covering grid connection, transmission capacity, and generation solutions
Structure and negotiate commercial agreements with utilities and counterparties to accelerate timelines and de-risk delivery
Design and implement novel commercial and utility-scale solutions to improve scale, speed, and carbon outcomes
Assess energy policy and regulatory frameworks to identify opportunities for alternative commercial structures
Coordinate across internal teams and external advisors; take end-to-end ownership of outcomes
Qualification
Required
5–8 years of experience in the U.S. energy industry with direct exposure to utilities, transmission, or interconnection
Working understanding of how regulated electric utilities operate and the regulatory compact governing them
Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial agreements (e.g., interconnection, transmission, PPAs, or utility contracts)
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to produce clear, decision-ready materials
Proven ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor's degree required
Willingness to travel ~25% for in-person meetings
