Life Safety Electronic Systems Coordinator

They are seeking a Life Safety Electronic Systems Coordinator to oversee the electronic fire alarm and sprinkler systems at the Convention Center, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and coordinating maintenance and troubleshooting efforts.

Government Administration

Responsibilities

Oversees various components of the Convention Center life safety systems and provides leadership (guidance) to staff assigned to monitor the systems
Ensures compliance with specific regulations related to inspection and maintenance of the fire alarm, fire sprinkler systems and smoke control systems
Specifies equipment to be purchased for life safety systems to ensure compatibility
Troubleshoots system defects and coordinates repairs with contractors
Handles day-to-day issues associated with the life safety electronic systems
Coordinates with building clients and in-house Event managers to resolve client equipment interface issues and maintain systems to ensure any negative impact on clients
Meets the Center of Hospitality (CoH) standards
Performs other job-related duties and projects as assigned

Required

Associate's degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of experience in area of assignment. In lieu of the degree requirements additional relevant experience may be substituted on a year for year basis
Life Safety Electronic Systems
Experience in programming, testing and inspecting electronic fire alarm systems
Working knowledge of test equipment to include multi-meters, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters and communication devices

Preferred

A degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a related field
Experience in maintaining job site documentation (example, time sheets, as-built drawings)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications used in installation activities
Proficient in use and application of personal computers including Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to set up, program, and test basic TCP/IP networks
Experienced with working at Convention Centers, Arenas, or other large public venues
Experienced with Johnson Controls – Simplex networked fire alarm systems and Truesite workstations
