Senior Mechatronics Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to participate in the development, design, test, and manufacturing of motion control products, collaborating with various engineering disciplines to ensure system performance and safety in human spaceflight.

Responsibilities
Architect closed-loop control systems incorporating motors, sensors, structures and drive electronics
Synthesize and define interfaces between multiple engineering disciplines
Present technical content to customers and internal stakeholders
Provide guidance and support on test requirements and associated verification methods
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited technical college or university in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 8+ years of relevant work experience designing electronics for regulated industries
In-depth understanding of motors, gearing, feedback & commutation sensors, and motion control methodologies
Demonstrated experience delivering functional hardware on schedule
Experience with: Design analysis and simulation (Matlab Simulink)
Experience with: Requirements verification tools (JAMA)
Preferred
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering
Experience designing motion control and electromechanical systems for space environments
Demonstrated experience leading technical teams in product development efforts
