This internship provides hands-on experience applying data-driven techniques to real-world optical products, including optical switching systems and OTDR modules, while collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities
Assist in developing data processing and machine learning workflows for optical system test and characterization data
Analyze image and signal data to support pattern recognition, anomaly detection, and failure analysis
Support calibration and test optimization efforts through data-driven analysis
Prototype and evaluate machine learning models for optical system monitoring and event detection
Document analysis methods, results, and tools following internal engineering practices
Work closely with optical, system, and test engineers to understand system behavior and translate engineering problems into data analysis tasks
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical discipline
Solid understanding of machine learning and data analysis concepts
Strong programming skills in Python
Ability to work with large experimental data and draw meaningful conclusions
Strong analytical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic about contributing in a collaborative R&D environment
Preferred
Graduate student (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred
Experience with machine learning frameworks or data analysis libraries
Experience with deep learning for image analysis
Familiarity with image processing or signal processing
Interest in optical systems, or hardware-related applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bilingual with Mandarin
