Essential Transporation Coordinator
Shepherd's Center of Charlotte is dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults in the community. They are seeking an Essential Transportation Coordinator to oversee and coordinate the Essential Transportation Program's operations, ensuring that older adults receive complimentary rides to essential appointments while fostering connections and companionship.

Responsibilities
Coordinate daily operations of the Essential Transportation Program by scheduling and managing ride requests, serving as the primary point of contact for participants, monitoring ride activity, addressing changes or issues in real time, and ensuring services meet organizational policies, safety standards, and best practices
Support the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of volunteer drivers in collaboration with the Volunteer & Engagement Coordinator by communicating assignments and updates, providing guidance and problem-solving support, and assisting with volunteer recognition to foster engagement and appreciation
Conduct participant intake, assessments, and orientation to determine transportation needs and program eligibility, while maintaining accurate participant profiles
Maintain accurate records in the transportation CRM, track program metrics and outcomes, and assist with reports and data for grant reporting, board updates, and community partners
Qualification
Required
Strong alignment with the organization's mission and values
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive, patient attitude
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative
Proficient in basic computer applications
Preferred
Bachelor's preferred or alternatively, two years of equivalent work experience will be considered
