Overnight Maintenance Engineer/Security

Responsibilities
Build, repairs, and paints all parts of the hotel
Install and replaces lighting fixtures and bulbs
Clean carpets and rugs
Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment
Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine
Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment
Fabricate and repairs furniture and fixtures
Attend all scheduled training classes and meetings
Paint corridors, hotel rooms, and lobby areas when necessary
Transport heavy boxes and packages within the hotel for maintenance and repairs
Assist in delivering and setup of all new equipment such as televisions, mattresses, tables, chairs, etc
Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor on projects as assigned
Respond to all customer requests in a timely and personable manner
Patrol all areas of the property, and lock/unlock property entrances as required
Assist guests with room access; ADA access; safe lockouts, etc
Conduct daily physical hazard inspections, and monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm system, duress (Area of Refuge) alarms, and fire life safety systems
Respond to accidents and contact EMS or coordinate first aid/CPR as required
Assist guests and employees during emergency situations
Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks or other incidents
Diffuse guest and/or employee disturbances
Complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents
Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report
Maintain confidentiality and release information only to authorized individuals
Conduct investigations and gather evidence. Conduct interviews with relevant parties
Complete safety training and certifications
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, supporting departments to reach common goals (we're all family here!)

Qualification
Required
Maintaining all equipment, systems, and building components, including, but not limited to, mechanical and electrical systems, pumps, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, furniture, paint, wall coverings, tile, and other equipment
Building a safe and secure environment for all employees and guests
Providing safety education, enforcing company standards, and promoting the highest level of profit protection

Preferred
Previous experience as a hotel engineer is preferred or comparable maintenance experience at an establishment such as apartment complex or office building
Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
