Responsibilities
Participates in various facets of analyzing and reviewing financial data for use in financial reporting
Analyzes accounts and prepares entries for posting to the ledger in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Reviews monthly trial balance of general ledgers for assigned areas and prepares and analyzes all supporting schedules for assigned general ledger accounts for interim, monthly, and year-end closing
Assists in the preparation of operating reports and financial statements
Reviews and maintains computerized financial systems (Payroll, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Revenue, Inter-Departmental Transfers, and General Entry Data), to ensure accuracy and to maintain integrity of financial systems
Reconciles and reviews subsidiary ledgers
Prepares reports for management review as necessary
Assists with the preparation of local, state, and federal tax returns and provides support to Senior Financial Analyst or Accounting Manager
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or other related area required
3-5 years of experience required
Experience working remote required
Experience working remotely within a team and with other departments required
Requires a general knowledge of accounting practices
Requires familiarity with personal computers and spreadsheet applications
Requires working knowledge of GAAP
Reliable transportation required
