NANA is a company focused on environmental projects, and they are seeking a Kuna Environmental Intern to assist with various tasks within the Environmental Department. The intern will participate in environmental projects, perform sampling, compile data, and assist with reporting and planning under supervision.

Responsibilities

Participate in a variety of environmental projects under supervision as assigned
Assist with preparation of investigation and work plans and remedial action plans
Perform soil and water sampling according to standard procedures
Record field observations in a concise, accurate, and legible manner
Compile and analyze data and assist with drafting reports and work plans
Share lessons learned and strive for continual program and personal improvement
Provide team communication
Conduct quality checks of databases, documents and reports, to verify accuracy of data, information, and calculations
Assist in preparing, maintaining and filing of departmental policies and procedures
Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and company information
Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned

Required

Must be a shareholder of NANA Regional Corporation, Inc., or a direct descendant of a shareholder
Must be 18 years or older
Must be currently enrolled in college or a vocational school full-time and have completed one semester of postsecondary education
College sophomore level or higher with degree declared in Environmental Sciences or directly related field
Intermediate skillset with MS Word processing software and MS Excel spreadsheet software
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees and supervisor
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of employees, clients and vendors
Must possess a strong team orientation and willingness to assist in any area outside of the normal scope of this position

Preferred

Driver's License and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy
