Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs
Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationship with HQ AFMC offices, AFMC Centers, and other MAJCOMS, Air Staff, other Services/Agencies and DoD Offices
Participates in special logistics management operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments
Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations

Required

U.S. Citizenship Required
Employee must be eligible for and maintain a Top Secret/Special Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance, as well as be eligible to be granted access to special access programs
Random drug testing may be required depending upon the position being filled
Supervisory requirements may be required depending upon the position being filled
Promotion potential may be authorized depending upon position being filled
Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period
Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest
Incumbent may be required to report to work during base exercises, contingencies, or emergency situations and overtime/comp time/credit hours may be required to accomplish assigned duties
This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random drug testing for drug use
Mastery knowledge of the applicable logistics management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; and all aspects of life cycle integrated logistics support
Extensive knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization
Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options
Ability to utilize AoP concepts and initiatives to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing

Preferred

Extensive Special Access Program (SAP) management experience
Ideal Candidate: Current Civilian within the DoD
