The US Army Corps of Engineers is responsible for providing superior engineering design products and services to the Nation. They are seeking an Interdisciplinary Design Manager to coordinate project tasks, manage schedules and budgets, and serve as the primary point of contact for the Corps Districts within the Branch region.

Responsibilities

Provide extensive coordination, planning, scope, schedule, and budget development as well as reporting on project status for a variety of engineering tasks related to large, multiple, multi-faceted project assignments of significant depth and complexity
Serves as the Design Manager for all customers within the Branch's region of responsibility, utilizing significant communication skills to coordinate with the PDT and the customer's Project Manager on assigned tasks
Manages and controls project schedule milestones and budgets through the planning, design, and engineering during construction
Represents the HDC Branch Chief and HDC, serving as the Branch's primary point of contact to the Corps Districts within the Branch region

Required

Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in engineering from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent coursework
Professional registration or licensure as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE)
Evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination
Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences
Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field with at least 1 year of professional engineering experience
Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in architecture or related field with specific coursework requirements
One year of specialized experience working with a multidisciplinary design team on hydroelectric engineering design projects
U.S. citizenship
Registration for Selective Service for male applicants born after December 31, 1959
Ability to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450)
Valid state driver's license
Ability to travel for Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time
