Senior Business / Systems Analyst – Application Support & Operations

JPS Tech Solutions is seeking a seasoned Senior Business/Systems Analyst to lead Application Support and Production Operations for enterprise-level systems. The role requires a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise and strong Azure experience, responsible for managing global support teams and ensuring high availability and performance of applications.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations of the Application Support & Operations team, ensuring efficient ticket triage, troubleshooting, and resolution
Manage and collaborate with onshore and offshore support analysts, driving consistency and accountability across regions
Act as the primary escalation point for complex production issues, performing hands-on root cause analysis and resolution
Partner closely with Microsoft, third-party vendors, and internal engineering teams to maintain Azure environment stability and performance
Monitor application health by reviewing logs, performance dashboards, service metrics, and daily operational reports
Ensure high system uptime and adherence to SLAs through proactive monitoring and incident prevention
Implement and enforce ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management
Drive continuous improvement initiatives including automation, enhanced monitoring, documentation, and knowledge management
Communicate clearly with business and technical stakeholders, providing status updates, risk assessments, and operational insights
Prepare and present KPIs, trend analysis, and operational reports to leadership

Required

10+ years of experience in Application Support, Production Operations, or Technical Service Management
3+ years in a leadership or people-management role, including managing offshore/global support teams
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred)
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure architecture, monitoring, and operational tools
Solid technical background in .NET / C#, SQL Server, IIS, WCF, and Windows-based application environments
Proven ability to analyze application logs, write SQL queries, and interpret system and performance data
Experience working with ServiceNow, Application Insights, and ITIL-based service management processes
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business, engineering, and vendor teams
Strong analytical mindset with a focus on stability, scalability, and continuous improvement

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
