ACTIVITY PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Responsibilities
Directly assists the activity leadership in the management of all activity administrative support program functions. Administers programs and serves as the primary source of information
Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs
Serves as a activity liaison to the military and civilian personnel offices. Assists the activity leadership in the performance of administrative functions associated with the supervision of military and civilian employees (i.e. coordinating personnel assignments, promotions, and performance evaluation products, etc.)
Performs other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization. Develops, establishes, updates, and maintains office procedures and records/files of various types to ensure effective and efficient operation of the office

Males must be registered for Selective Service, see www.sss.gov
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance
If authorized, PCS will be paid IAW JTR and AF Regulations. If receiving an authorized PCS, you may be subject to completing/signing a CONUS agreement
This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
Work may occasionally require travel away from normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft

Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period
Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest

Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-05, or equivalent in other pay systems
Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization
Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs
Skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems
Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and possess the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines
Ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization
