TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities

You will provide In-Service support and representation of the Minor Caliber Guns Branch during the manufacture, installation, repair, troubleshooting, overhaul, and conversion of NAVSEA Minor Caliber Guns
You will conduct Naval Minor Caliber Gun pre-fire checks, live fire exercises, post-fire and periodic weapon maintenance, and weapon inventory accountability actions
You will provide advice to managers, supervisors, peers, and sponsors on specific technical aspects of Naval Minor Caliber Gun systems or concept development and will communicate with the chain of command

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326

This is a bargaining unit position
You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying a wide range of technical engineering principles to support and coordinate the installation, repair, overhaul, or conversion of gun weapon systems for the sustained support of an organization's operations
