Responsibilities
Lead the sales and marketing efforts for The Nucor Plate Group in the South Texas and Louisiana territory
Quote and secure business: spot and contract
Provide forecasts and recommend new business and customers
Support the Plate Group and Nucor Enterprises strategic growth initiatives
Participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork
Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in a business-related field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline)
Proven experience in steel plate sales or a related industrial sales environment
Frequent travel required, approximately 50-75% of the time
Must be able to travel by car and airplane as needed
Regular exposure to heavy manufacturing and industrial environments, including steel mill operations
Presence in areas with high temperatures, loud noise, dust, and moving machinery
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots may be necessary during site visits
Preferred

Proven experience in steel plate sales or a related industrial sales environment
