Responsibilities
Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports
Perform account reconciliations and analyses; prepare journal entries and review accounting classifications in accordance with GAAP
Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position
Participate in the monthly/quarterly close process
Support lease accounting
Review the work of others (e.g., bank reconciliations, cash receipts, etc.)
Develop innovative approaches for continued improvements in efficiency and effectiveness
Anticipate customer needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma / GED
18 years of age or older
5+ years of accounting experience
Experience working in a detail-oriented role with a high level of accuracy and sound judgment
Experience communicating professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization
Experience effectively managing time and completing multiple tasks while consistently meeting critical deadlines and responding to changing priorities
Experience identifying solutions to non standard requests and complex problems
Experience solving moderately complex analyses
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel
Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime
Preferred
Public accounting experience
Healthcare industry experience
Accounting experience with regulated entities
Experience with Hyperion Essbase, PeopleSoft Financials, and Microsoft Access
