Responsibilities
Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
Improve manufacturing efficiencies by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirement, and equipment layout
Collect data on manufacturing processes, and analyses methods to improve cost and efficiency
Provide manufacturing decision-making by calculating production, labor, and material cost
Maintain product and process data
Design, modify, and develop standard work for all departments
Work with manufacturing associates to promote and implement continuous improvement and safety projects
Develop DOE for mitigating potential quality related issues
Close work with laboratory and completion of standard composites laboratory experiments
Test alternate and cutting-edge materials in the manufacturing process
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree considered in Industrial Engineering (IE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), or a related field, with 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
Relevant hands-on lab experience or internships may be considered as experience
Highly developed skills: problem-solving, tenacity, drive, creativity, planning and organization
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a variety of systems
Ability to design and perform laboratory experiments and interpret the results
