Sales Representative, Architectural Development

Duro-Last is the world’s largest manufacturer of custom-fabricated commercial roofing solutions, and they are seeking a Sales Representative, Architectural Development to drive demand for their products. The role involves building relationships with key specifiers, identifying projects, and collaborating with internal teams to convert specifications into sales.

Responsibilities

Identify, prioritize, and pursue specification opportunities with roofing consultants, architects, and other key influencers
Develop and maintain strong relationships with the design community to promote the company’s roofing systems, assemblies, and warranties
Review construction project databases, bid boards, and specification platforms to identify new project opportunities
Create, modify, and assist with roofing system submittals, specifications, and details
Deliver technical presentations, lunch & learns, and continuing education sessions for design professionals
Coordinate with territory sales and technical teams to support contractors bidding specified projects
Track and report specification activity, project pipeline, and conversion rates in CRM
Stay current on industry standards, building codes, and competitive products that impact specification decisions
Participate in industry associations, consultant networks, and trade events to strengthen company visibility and relationships

Qualification

Required

5+ years of experience in commercial roofing, building envelope, or construction materials (sales, technical, or specification-related)
Working knowledge of commercial roofing systems, assemblies, and installation practices necessary
Familiarity with specification writing processes
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Proficiency with Google suite, Microsoft Office and CRM systems

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, business management, engineering, or related field
