Responsibilities

You will serve as the Range Support Systems Division Head
You will be responsible for systems management, operation, and maintenance of Range Support Craft (RSC), Multi-Purpose Craft (MPC), and Landing Craft Mechanized (LCM-8), Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, and IX-524 Mobile At-Sea Sensor System (MATSS)
You will oversee lifecycle management of range support systems
You will identify and define future range operational performance requirements for range support systems
You will oversee the acquisition, installation, integration, testing, evaluation, and acceptance of upgraded or new range support systems
You will plan, organize, coordinate, and direct the technical management of range support systems in support of Test and Evaluation and Fleet training operations
You will monitor and evaluate the performance of Operations and Maintenance contractors for range support systems
You will establish performance standards and evaluate performance of employees, give advice, counsel, and instruction to individual employees on both technical and administrative matters
You will oversee fiscal management of the division, overseeing budget formulation and justification

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
This is a Mission Essential position
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer, managing technical systems resources and requirements and evaluating and executing program management principles in support of Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Fleet training operations
Successful completion of a professional engineering degree
Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico
Evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination or any other written test required for professional registration by an engineering licensure board
Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering
Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering
