Responsibilities
Maintains accurate and current records of patient reports and inventory
Adheres to the laboratory’s quality control policies; documents all quality control activities, as well as all instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed
Follows the laboratory’s policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory’s established, acceptable levels of performance
Studies and remains current and knowledgeable with the Laboratory Operating Manual regarding quality assurance, quality control, safety procedures and operating guidelines for performing all assigned laboratory services
Holds a comprehensive understanding of and follow all OSHA requirements for safe laboratory operations to maintain a safe laboratory environment
Assures quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards; follows practice, physician and laboratory division philosophies, as well as standards of care set by the state and other governing agency regulations
Works cooperatively with the Company multidisciplinary teams to provide good patient care and achieves the objectives and goals of the practice
Maintains patient confidence and protect operations by keeping all patient and proprietary information confidential. Adheres to signed HIPAA Confidentiality Agreement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, biological, clinical laboratory science or related – required
Minimum 6 months' laboratory training towards degree or experience in a clinical or research lab – preferred
Attention to detail is essential with these duties
Maintains accurate and current records of patient reports and inventory
Adheres to the laboratory's quality control policies; documents all quality control activities, as well as all instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed

Preferred
Minimum 6 months' laboratory training towards degree or experience in a clinical or research lab – preferred
Electronic Medical Records experience - preferred
Excel at Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
Ability to operate laboratory equipment, hormone analyzers and microscopes
