Administrative Specialist III

The position is responsible for data entry and quality control of Duke Energy’s land rights and associated documents (deeds, easements, permits, etc.) into our land inventory system(s) of record, including tabular databases and GIS tools
The DM Specialist 2 acts as a subject matter expert and works directly with Data Management peers, as well as Real Estate Agents and Researchers to support our internal business unit partners, including transmission, distribution, natural gas, generation, legal, asset protection and vegetation management
This position may also support Quality Assurance/Quality Control and data clean-up initiatives, and may also be asked to support invoicing data entry or other special projects

Data Management Specialist 2 is the second level within the real estate research job family for college educated and/or experienced professionals
The position is responsible for data entry and quality control of land rights and associated documents (deeds, easements, permits, etc.) into our land inventory system(s) of record, including tabular databases and GIS tools

Familiarity with Data Management best practices
Excellent oral/written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office computer applications
Excellent organization, data accuracy, attention to detail and time management and work management skills
Reading comprehension, critical thinking, and active listening skills
Proven self-motivated and possessing a strong work ethic
Basic knowledge of Electric Distribution and Transmission systems, Operations and Construction
High School Diploma and 4 years of professional data entry/data management or analytics experience, or
Associates Degree and 2 years of professional data entry/data management or analytics experience, or
Bachelors Degree and 1 year of professional data entry/data management or analytics experience
Preferred
A very nice to have: real estate data experience
Experience or knowledge of GIS tools is a major plus
Familiarity with Real Estate terminology and Land Rights / Easements
