Instructor of Clinical Practice, Internal Medicine-General Medicine
UTMB Faculty Group Practice is seeking an Instructor of Clinical Practice in Internal Medicine-General Medicine. The Chief Resident will represent medical residents, participate in departmental committees, and serve as a ward attending while also precepting in the general medicine clinic.

Responsibilities
Represent the medical residents and work closely with them to optimize medical care and their training
Participate in departmental and hospital committees
Organize morning report daily
Help to create and implement Department of Internal Medicine policies
Implement the monthly ward schedules
Serve as the first line of reference/appeal for all resident concerns or disputes
Serve as inpatient ward attending for two to four, two-week blocks
Precept in the general medicine clinic one half day each week
Qualification
Required
MD degree
Board certification or Board eligibility in Internal Medicine
