Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activities
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while upholding Allied Universal's standards of service
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues according to site protocols
Assist with crowd management and help to deter theft or disruptive behavior within the location as needed
Qualification
Required
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Customer service experience is preferred
Alarm panel experience is preferred
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
