Senior LevelEase Learning is seeking experienced cybersecurity and communications security practitioners for a skills assessment pilot aligned to the COMSEC Manager role. The Contract SME will participate in a structured assessment and complete a brief survey, focusing on validating skills rather than teaching or consulting.

Complete a practitioner-level skills assessment
Complete a short post-assessment survey
No meetings, facilitation, reviews, or follow-up work
Qualification
Required
Current practitioners with applied, real-world experience managing Communications Security (COMSEC) resources within enterprise, government, or regulated environments
Familiarity with managing COMSEC accounts, materials, and cryptographic resources
Familiarity with applying COMSEC policies, procedures, and directives (e.g., CNSSI, NIST, DoD guidance)
Familiarity with supporting secure communications for systems, networks, and operational environments
Familiarity with overseeing the lifecycle of cryptographic keys and COMSEC equipment
Familiarity with implementing and maintaining key management processes and controls
Familiarity with conducting risk assessments related to communications security
Familiarity with ensuring compliance with organizational, regulatory, and security requirements
Familiarity with coordinating with security, network, and operations teams to support secure communications
Familiarity with monitoring, documenting, and reporting COMSEC status, incidents, or discrepancies
Understanding of networking fundamentals, encryption concepts, and secure communication protocols
Participants must score above 50% on the assessment
Preferred
Active COMSEC Manager, communications security officer, or cryptographic security practitioner
Hands-on experience managing COMSEC materials, processes, and compliance requirements
Comfortable evaluating real-world security and risk management scenarios
Familiar with government or regulated security environments
Reliable and able to complete work within a short, defined window
