InternDavidson Technologies is seeking a Windows System Administrator summer intern to support the Advanced Research Center (ARC) for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in Huntsville, AL. The role involves a wide range of IT responsibilities, focusing on system and user account administration, while providing an opportunity to shadow experienced System Administrators.

Responsibilities
Creating procedures for user account management. This includes creating accounts, adding permissions, and locking and unlocking accounts
System builds: All facets of building a system (Joining it to the domain and continued maintenance)
Active shadowing of other system administrators to learn:
Active directory functions: Overview with some hands-on account management
Group Policy: Generalized overview and training
Customer relations: Proper interactions with customers and managing their expectations
Server maintenance: Preventive maintenance checks and patching procedures
Accountability and responsibility
Testing and updating technical work instructions

Qualification
Required
The selected candidate must be enrolled in higher education, in pursuit of a bachelor's or master's degree that relates to the job description (Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field)
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship
Currently maintains or can quickly obtain a CompTIA Security+CE certification
The ARC Internship Program requires possession or ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
Preferred
Familiarity with Windows operating system (Windows 11 preferred)
Experience with Microsoft Office basic apps (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
