Temporary Office Assistant

They are seeking a Temporary Office Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support to the Office of Pre-Health Professions Advising, assisting with daily operations and front desk duties.

Responsibilities
Provide clerical and administrative support to an office/department/center
Assist with the day-to-day operational activities of the office/department/center
Perform front desk duties such as answering and routing telephone calls, handling customer inquiries, and redirecting, as necessary
Resolve routine problems using pre-existing guidelines and procedures
Perform general routine clerical tasks, such as preparing routine documents, basic correspondence from templates, or existing form letters
Schedule appointments and meetings
Assist with travel arrangements
Assist with basic event operations, as needed
Sort and distribute mail
Maintains office supplies inventory
Maintains and updates basic databases
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of medical school requirements
Benefits

Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), a temporary employee who works on average 30 hours or more per week may be eligible to enroll in health care benefits.
