Responsibilities

Establish and sustain externally funded research programs appropriate to rank and to publish in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals
Contribute to the department's teaching mission by developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in quantum science, materials characterization, and related areas
Mentor graduate students and supervise doctoral research
Participate in interdisciplinary research initiatives
Contribute to curriculum development and engage in service activities at the department, college, and university levels

Required

Applicants must hold an earned Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline
Demonstrate a strong record of scholarly research with clear relevance to quantum materials
Research focuses on spectroscopic approaches for the characterization of quantum materials, including but not limited to optical, vibrational, electronic, ultrafast, and time-resolved spectroscopies
Establish and sustain externally funded research programs appropriate to rank
Publish in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals
Contribute to the department's teaching mission by developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in quantum science, materials characterization, and related areas
Mentor graduate students
Supervise doctoral research
Participate in interdisciplinary research initiatives
Contribute to curriculum development
Engage in service activities at the department, college, and university levels
