Responsibilities

Own all accounting and financial control for plant and construction operations, including WIP, job cost, cost accounting, and project tracking
Maintain accurate job cost reporting across projects, phases, and cost codes
Track committed versus actual costs and proactively identify and flag variances
Process purchase orders (POs), vendor invoices, and subcontractor pay applications, including AIA billing
Oversee construction loan documentation, construction draws, payments, and all supporting schedules
Coordinate closely with project managers, procurement, and operations teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy
Manage monthly close activities related to plant and job operations, including:
WIP schedules
Revenue and cost accruals
Cost roll‑ups
Inventory or material usage (as applicable)
Support project‑level forecasting, budget updates, and cash flow modeling
Maintain clean, complete, and fully auditable records for all projects
Strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting as the company scales
Leverage NetSuite ERP and other construction/accounting systems to improve reporting, visibility, and efficiency

Required

Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting and WIP schedules
Construction and job cost accounting
Cost analysis and cost controls
Construction loans and draw management
NetSuite ERP (or similar construction/ERP systems)
Purchase orders, vendor invoices, and subcontractor pay applications
Strong understanding of project-based financial reporting
Proven experience managing accounting for construction and manufacturing operations
Ability to operate independently and take full ownership of plant and project financials
Strong attention to detail with a process-driven mindset
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling organization
Ability to work 50–55 hours per week, with occasional extended hours during month-end close
Willingness to support multiple active construction and manufacturing initiatives simultaneously
