Responsibilities
Tissue processing, embedding, and ultrathin sectioning
Handling chemicals and biohazardous materials in a safe and compliant manner
Operating and maintaining specialized laboratory equipment, including performing routine calibrations, troubleshooting, and minor repairs
Verifying data accuracy and maintaining comprehensive and compliant documentation
Qualification
Required
Requires bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, health sciences or other relevant science with 4 years of laboratory experience
Must be a U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee
Preferred
Master's degree in biology, chemistry, or other relevant science preferred
Hands-on experience with electron microscopy, including specimen processing, ultramicrotomy, and imaging
Strong technical proficiency and understanding of laboratory safety protocols
Demonstrated ability to strictly adhere to established research protocols and procedures to ensure accuracy, reproducibility, and data integrity
Excellent organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, high-throughput environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary research teams
Strong customer support and collaboration skills in a scientific or research support setting
Experience operating a scanning electron microscope (SEM)
Familiarity with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) and related analytical techniques
Proficiency with image analysis software for electron microscopy data interpretation
