Responsibilities

The chair candidate will primarily be responsible for collaborative department leadership, administering the budget, coordinating teaching assignments, and mentoring and evaluating department faculty and staff
Candidates will be expected to engage in extramurally funded research, teach and advise graduate students, serve on dissertation committees, and provide university, community and professional service

Required

Doctoral degree in epidemiology or related field or MD with advanced training in epidemiology
A track record of collaborative research and peer-reviewed publications as appropriate for rank
Demonstrated ability to obtain research grants
Effective teaching in the relevant discipline
