Responsibilities
Review applicant fire/life safety narratives related to mission-critical facilities and equipment yards
Assess high-level risk controls and emergency response interface concepts (access, isolation, emergency procedures)
Provide review comments on battery-related safety narratives and emergency planning interface in coordination with electrical and planning roles
Support development agreement technical language related to emergency protocols and safety documentation requirements
Participate in meetings/hearings when requested, providing clear technical explanation
Qualification
Required
10+ years in fire protection or life safety engineering for industrial, mission-critical, or large commercial facilities
Experience producing written review comments for AHJs, owners, or public entities
Strong understanding of emergency response coordination principles (without assuming specific code editions unless provided by client)
Preferred
Experience with large generator fuel systems and energy storage safety planning
Experience supporting municipal approvals, special uses, or development conditions
