Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end billing and RCM turnaround initiatives for RHCs, FQHCs, and multi-specialty practices
Stabilize underperforming billing operations by identifying root causes across charge capture, coding, claims, and AR workflows
Implement corrective actions to improve cash flow, reduce denials, and increase collections
Oversee billing processes specific to RHC and FQHC reimbursement methodologies, including PPS, encounter-based billing, and wrap-around payments
Ensure accurate charge capture and claims submission for Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care payers relevant to RHC/FQHC environments
Address common RHC/FQHC challenges such as sliding fee scales, visit definitions, provider-based billing, and payer-specific rules
Manage and scale offshore billing and AR teams, including workflow design, productivity standards, and performance monitoring
Establish consistent billing workflows across specialties and service lines
Oversee coding review, claims submission, denial management, and work queue prioritization
Partner with physician leaders, practice administrators, and executive stakeholders to align billing operations with clinical and financial goals
Leverage KPIs, dashboards, and trend analysis to drive accountability, transparency, and operational improvement
Ensure billing compliance with CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and RHC/FQHC regulatory requirements
Prepare organizations for audits and regulatory reviews, ensuring documentation and billing accuracy
Proficiency with eClinicalWorks and other major EHR/practice management systems
Hands-on experience with denial work queues, payer correspondence tools, and AR workflow optimization
Strong data-driven mindset with experience using dashboards and KPIs to manage performance
Qualification
Required
Experienced US-based Billing Manager Consultants
Strong RHC (Rural Health Clinic) and FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) billing experience
