Responsibilities
Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance
Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives
Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth
Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions
Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability
Qualification
Required
Server-side development using Python, with good object-oriented programming skills and experience working with relational databases
Big data technologies including Hadoop and Spark, supporting data modelling, analytics, and reporting use cases
Data processing and rapid application development frameworks such as Django, pandas, NumPy, and Conda
Messaging and data streaming technologies such as Kafka, along with good Unix/Linux experience
Agile development environments, with experience troubleshooting production issues and supporting live applications
Preferred
Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView
Familiarity with cloud and container platforms including AWS and OpenShift/Kubernetes
Knowledge of CI/CD, test-driven development, and system integration tools such as Jenkins or TeamCity
Experience with document storage technologies such as MongoDB, DocumentDB, or Hadoop ecosystems
Background working in financial markets or front-office trading technology
