CAPS Check Unit Tech (Technician II) - Adult Protective Services

Responsibilities
Research data in CAPS to determine whether an applicant has been substantiated of mistreating an at-risk adult
Reviews CAPS check registration requests to confirm that the requester is statutorily permitted to request CAPS Checks
Independently monitors performance outcomes through standardized reporting tools in CAPS
Other job-related duties as assigned or required
Qualification
Required
Two (2) years of relevant experience application screening, eligibility determination, investigative services (APS/CPS/Law Enforcement), or general social service administration
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to two (2) years
Preferred
Strong computer skills; ability to navigate technological systems efficiently
Previous experience with Google workspace and/or electronic records databases such as CAPS (the APS data system) or other similar case management records systems
High attention to detail
Experience working with and protecting highly confidential/sensitive information
Strong customer service skills
Strong ability/preference for independent work and repetitive tasks
Experience managing time well in deadline-oriented environments
Relevant years of state service experience
