Responsibilities
Establishing schedules and work priorities
Providing daily supervision and support to all assigned team members
Make adjustments as needed to accommodate changing workloads
Ensures that staff maintain timely, accurate, and thorough documentation as outlined by current CE policy and procedures
Regularly monitors preventative maintenance (PM) performance and ensures PM completion requirements are met
Participates in the evaluation of new equipment and assists the manager with major projects
Provides coverage and support, as needed, for other supervisors during their absence
Provides coverage for the Manager during their absence
Review Patient Safety Reports, assign work orders, present to the SMDA committee
Work with the office of patient safety, legal, FDA, and Mfg. on equipment / patient safety issues
Approve vacations and payroll
Performs other duties as required
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in biomedical engineering technology, or equivalent Military training
Hands-on repair experience on various biomedical and or imaging equipment in a healthcare setting
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree and or equivalent training or certifications
Eight years of experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment
Prior experience as a lead technician or in a supervisory roll preferred
