Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data models that support usage metering, billing, revenue, and executive reporting
Own and optimize Snowflake as Emburse’s enterprise data warehouse, ensuring performance, scalability, and security
Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes that integrate data from operational systems into analytics and reporting environments
Partner closely with Finance and Business Systems teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of usage, billing, and ARR data
Quickly diagnose and resolve data quality issues, implementing long-term solutions that prevent recurring problems
Define and enforce data models, naming conventions, and governance standards to enable consistent, trusted reporting
Collaborate with Business Systems to improve source system data structures and integration design
Support automation, monitoring, and version control of data pipelines using modern data tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow)
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and analysts within the Data & Analytics team

Required

5–7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data architecture, ideally in a SaaS or subscription-based environment
Strong expertise in Snowflake, SQL, and data modeling (dimensional and relational)
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Fivetran, dbt, Informatica, or similar platforms
Proficiency with Python, Git, Airflow, and cloud storage solutions (e.g., S3)
Proven ability to identify data quality gaps, design scalable solutions, and work independently to drive outcomes
Solid understanding of data governance, lineage, and security best practices
Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across technical and non-technical teams

Preferred

Familiarity with usage metering, billing systems, and ARR/revenue data models is highly preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
