Responsibilities
Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems for bridges, buildings, retaining walls, and other structures using wood, steel, concrete, and masonry
Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications under supervision. Utilize CAD software for drafting and modeling
Work closely with project managers, senior engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
Participate in project meetings, site visits, and field inspections to gain practical experience and expand your engineering knowledge
Actively work toward obtaining your Hawaii Professional Structural Engineer license by gaining qualifying experience and preparing for the required exams
Follow company policies and procedures, and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis from an accredited university
0–5 years of relevant structural engineering experience
Must be actively working toward obtaining a Hawaii Professional Structural Engineer license
Familiarity with CAD and REVIT software and structural analysis tools
Preferred
A Master's degree is a plus but not required
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
Internship or co-op experience in structural engineering is beneficial
