Plant Engineering Technician I
St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas is inviting applications for the position of Plant Engineering Technician I. This role is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the university's heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, as well as supporting general building maintenance.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the university's heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
Supports general building maintenance, including commercial kitchen equipment, basic plumbing, and electrical systems, ensuring a safe and functional environment for all building occupants
Qualification
Required
A high school diploma or equivalent is required
A minimum of three (3) years combined vocational school training and paid practical experience in the care and maintenance of air-conditioning and heating equipment
Demonstrated experience operating Building Automation Systems (BAS) to monitor building setpoints, schedules, and alarms
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or similar digital platform to receive, document, and close out work orders
Proven experience with troubleshooting control devices, including pneumatic systems
EPA Universal Certification (Section 608) for handling refrigerants
Valid Driver's License
