Manufacturing Engineer – Potting
Heron Power is a startup company specializing in cutting-edge power electronics for the modern grid. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, and scaling high volume manufacturing processes for power electronics assemblies, focusing on advanced automation and robotics.

Responsibilities
Develop, optimize, and scale potting, dispensing, and encapsulation processes
Specify and commission equipment for automated chemical handling and dispensing
Integrate dispense systems with robotics, conveyors, and inline inspection
Run FAT/SAT, process validation, and DoE to define robust process windows
Implement quality control systems and troubleshoot chemical/material defects
Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams, and suppliers
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical, Electrical, or related Engineering
7+ years in chemical dispensing, potting, or encapsulation at industrial scale
Hands-on experience with automation, robots, PLCs, and inline QA
Strong knowledge of material behavior, curing, thermal paths, and chemical handling
Experience with PFMEA, DoE, SPC, and precision process control
Preferred
Experience with power electronics assemblies, EV, or battery packs
Supplier industrialization experience for chemical or potting processes
