Senior Human Resources Generalist
BismarckNDGov is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join their City HR Department. This senior role will provide strategic HR guidance and support to all city departments, managing complex projects and advising management on employee relations and compliance matters.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic HR guidance and comprehensive support to all city departments
Serve as subject matter expert in HR general administration
Lead learning and development programs
Independently manage complex projects
Lead initiatives that impact the entire city
Serve as a key advisor to management on complex employee relations and compliance matters
Ensure confidentiality
Develop & maintain respectful working relationships
Utilize strategic thinking & analytical skills
Demonstrate leadership & motivation
Exhibit problem solving & adaptability

Qualification
Required
Completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to human resources, business administration, business management or other closely related field
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for five years
Effective HR competencies including: Responsible and fair, Ensure Confidentiality, Develop & maintain respectful working relationships, Strategic Thinking & Analytical Skills, Leadership & Motivation, Problem Solving & Adaptability, Communication, Planning & Organizing
Preferred
Human Resources Certification is preferred and can be obtained after employment
