Deputy Chief Engineer
SAIC is seeking a Deputy Chief Engineer to join our team to support the Department of Air Force’s Advanced Battle Management System’s Digital Infrastructure. The role focuses on engineering process development and feature-level coordination across diverse development and support teams.

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with 15 years of experience
Secret Security Clearance
10+ years of combined product development experience
Demonstrated experience overseeing product development teams of this scope and complexity
Demonstrated experience designing and deploying agile engineering processes
Extraordinary communications skills (written and verbal)
Extraordinary interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience managing team dynamics & resolving conflicts
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
Proven willingness and ability to embrace rapid change in an agile and highly-collaborative prototyping and engineering team
Proven experience with agile techniques and practices in context of product development
Strong Jira & Confluence experience (as a user) for tracking complex product development
Strong familiarity across a variety of technical disciplines associated with IT infrastructures (hardware, software, virtualization, cyber)
Working knowledge of project management concepts and principles, including release scheduling
Experience with Air Force Command & Control & Intelligence/Surveillance/Reconnaissance systems, networks, data, and standards
Preferred
Experience with Product Line Engineering (PLE)
Experience with SAFe agile processes, in particular
Experience working with distributed teams
