SLS Vehicle Lead Production Support Engineer
Boeing is a leading aerospace company committed to innovation and collaboration. They are seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems and Analysis Engineer to provide leadership and guidance in the production and maintenance of flight hardware within the Space Launch Systems team.

Responsibilities
Serves as the primary technical authority on the shop floor for all hardware-related issues
Provide guidance and support to shop floor personnel (engineering and operations) in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges
Utilizes advanced problem-solving skills to address a wide range of technical challenges that may arise during production and maintenance
Implements effective solutions that minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency
Collaborates with the design engineering organization to interpret engineering drawings and provides clarification on engineering intent to mechanics, operations leaders, liaison / manufacturing / industrial engineering, quality, and program management
Determines the appropriate disposition of hardware and processes to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
Works closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and production, to facilitate rapid response and seamless operations
Communicates technical findings and recommendations clearly to all stakeholders
Identifies opportunities for process improvements and contributes to the development of best practices
Mentors and trains engineering personnel supporting production to enhance their technical skills and knowledge
Facilitates rapid execution of engineering drawing revisions as a response to production build by coordinating integrated research packages with liaison engineering who provides authority and final decision on the change
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Typically, 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
Ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility
This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a 'U.S. Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. 'U.S. Person' includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
