Brand Manager Intern
Pulsewave is building the next generation of DJ and music performance analytics tools. As a Brand Manager Intern, you will help shape the brand's narrative and visuals, ensuring consistent identity across various digital channels and community touchpoints.

Responsibilities
Support development and refinement of Pulsewave’s brand strategy for DJs, producers, and music creators
Help translate product features (analytics, stem tools, set tracking) into clear, compelling brand stories and messaging
Ensure consistent visual and verbal identity across website, socials, decks, and product marketing assets
Collaborate with the founder, design, and engineering interns to keep branding aligned with product and roadmap
Contribute to defining and documenting Pulsewave’s brand voice, positioning, and key value propositions for DJs and music creators
Research competitor brands and adjacent products to identify differentiation and whitespace
Help refine audience personas (club DJs, open‑format, festival, producers, etc.) and tailor messaging accordingly
Assist in maintaining and updating brand guidelines (logo usage, color, typography, tone of voice)
Work with design to ideate and review social/post templates, pitch deck visuals, landing page copy, and email content
Draft top‑of‑funnel messaging for launch campaigns, waitlists, and community engagement
Support planning of social media calendars across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) with a brand‑first lens
Identify and research DJs, micro‑influencers, and communities that align with the Pulsewave brand
Help track and summarize engagement and sentiment to inform brand experiments
Conduct light qualitative research (surveys, interviews, DM conversations) with DJs and creators to test narratives and taglines
Synthesize insights into simple recommendations for brand positioning and messaging
Monitor trends in DJ culture, music tech, and creator economy to keep the brand current and culturally aligned
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience through projects/freelance work)
Strong interest in branding, storytelling, and visual identity for tech or music‑related products
Clear written communication skills and comfort drafting short‑form and long‑form messaging
Basic familiarity with social platforms and content formats (Reels, Shorts, carousels, stories, etc.)
Self‑starter mindset, comfortable working in an early‑stage, fast‑changing startup environment
Preferred
Experience with Figma, Canva, or similar tools
Existing involvement in DJing, music production, nightlife, or creator communities
Previous work on a brand, campus organization, or side project where you owned messaging or identity
