Responsibilities
Lead the Quality Engineering organization for the Xcode family of tools
Guide a team of experienced engineers in day-to-day execution and long-term transformation of quality work
Partner closely with engineering leaders to identify quality priorities and investment opportunities
Rethink existing practices and enhance automation strategy
Simplify or retire work that no longer serves its purpose
Assess complex situations and balance competing priorities for optimal long-term outcomes
Communicate effectively with team, peers, and senior leadership
Qualification
Required
Significant experience leading Quality Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical teams
Demonstrated success leading teams through meaningful change
Strong judgment and decision-making skills in the face of competing constraints
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain tradeoffs and rationale
Experience operating in complex, cross-team environments
Solid understanding of modern software development workflows and quality practices
Demonstrated ability to grow, mentor, and develop senior quality engineering leaders
Preferred
Experience leading multi-disciplinary organizations (e.g. quality, operations, integrations)
Track record of improving effectiveness through automation, tooling, or process redesign
Experience partnering closely with senior engineering and product leadership
Comfort representing an organization in high-stakes discussions and decision forums
Technical background that enables credible engagement with senior engineers
