SUPERVISING PROGRAM TECHNICIAN II
The California State Controller's Office is dedicated to ensuring accountability and transparency in California's financial practices. The Supervising Program Technician II will oversee the Warrant Distribution and Claims Processing units, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of state funds while providing expert-level guidance and compliance oversight.

Responsibilities
Plan, organize, direct and evaluate the work of staff of the Warrant Distribution Unit and Claims Processing Unit. Complete and present staff with Probation Reports, Performance Appraisal Summaries, Individual Development Plans
Direct the activities of the Rush and Specials Desk for “over-the-counter” release of warrants to agencies, banks, and special couriers. Monitor daily funding approval to ensure daily release of warrants and/or “over-the-counter” release
Lead the full hiring process including drafting job announcements, create screening criteria, as well as screen applications, preparing interview questions and desired qualifications, scheduling and conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations for the General Disbursements Manager
Provide daily oversight of attendance, schedule coordination, and time sheet approval to ensure operational coverage
