Responsibilities

Perform a variety of engineering work of an administrative and technical nature
Oversee the daily operations of the Public Works - Engineering Division
Coordinate, plan, and direct design and construction engineering for public improvement projects and subdivision development
Review or supervise outside consultants to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local engineering standards
Ensure all plans comply with Village Ordinance and Code
Function independently, referring specific problems to the supervisor only where clarification or interpretation of Village policy or procedure is required
Provide direction to employees within field of expertise
Manage contract engineering firms

Qualification

Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer LicenseLocal Government ProjectsProject ManagementCommunication Skills

Required

Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Civil Engineering, or related field
Two or more years of progressively responsible engineering experience with a strong emphasis on local government projects
Must have a valid registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois
Must have a valid Driver's License
